Biography

Alexis Gonzalo Vallejos, known professionally as Midel, was born in Béccar, Buenos Aires, on November 21, 1996, and began rapping at age 13 in local freestyle battles, including the influential El Quinto Escalón. He made his official entry into the trap scene in August 2017 with the breakout single “B.U.H.O,” a collaboration featuring Klave, Arse, KHEA, Duki, and Mykka that amassed over 78 million views and propelled him into Argentina’s rising trap movement. In 2019, he continued building momentum with the release of “Si No Fue Así” alongside Seven Kayne and delivered a high-energy performance on KHEA’s “Ánimo” featuring Duki, earning high praise in the trap community. That same year, he collaborated with Duki on “Cara de Diablo,” showcasing his lyrical intensity. Lo Complicado de Ser Simple, his debut album, came out in 2024 and was followed by the freestyle session “Beatbox Session Vol. 10,” reinforcing his presence in the genre. In early 2025, he dropped the anthem “ARGENTINA,” featuring Blessd, Alan Gomez, and Elixir, which marked his latest push into pan-Latin urban music.
