Biography
Michal TuÄný, born on January 11, 1947, in Prague, Czechoslovakia, was a Czech singer and musician. He began his musical career at age 14 in Dixieland and participated in the first Czech country music festival in 1967. TuÄný's breakthrough came with his television appearance in 1970, which propelled him to household name status. In 1980, he formed his own band, "TuÄÅáci." Throughout the 1980s, he collaborated with Rattlesnake Annie on the album Anka ChÅestýš & Poslednà kovboj (1983). TuÄný's notable songs include "VÅ¡ichni jsou už v Mexiku" and "BlÃzko Little Big Hornu." He passed away on March 10, 1995, at age 48 due to liver cancer. His impact endured with a memorial concert planned in January 2026 in Prague's O2 Arena to commemorate thirty years since his passing.
