Biography

Michael William Head, born on November 24, 1961, in Liverpool, England, is a singer-songwriter and musician. He gained initial recognition as part of The Pale Fountains in the early 1980s. In 1986, Michael Head formed Shack with his brother John on lead guitar, releasing their debut album Zilch in 1988. After disbanding, Michael Head reformed Shack in the late 1990s and released several albums including H.M.S. Fable (1999) and ...The Corner of Miles and Gil (2006). In 2008, Michael Head & The Red Elastic Band was formed, releasing their debut EP Artorius Revisited in 2013. Their album Adiós Señor Pussycat reached number 57 on the UK Albums Chart and Number 1 on the UK Independent Albums Chart in October 2017. The band's subsequent release, Dear Scott, peaked at number 6 on the official UK chart in June 2022.
