Biography
Mica Millar, originally from Manchester, is a singer, songwriter, producer, and founder of an independent record label. Her music blends classic soul, gospel, blues, jazz, and Motown influences. After self-producing her first singles in 2017â2018, she spent several years writing, producing, and financing her debut album, Heaven Knows (2022), which she wrote, arranged, and produced entirely on her own. The album was a critical success, winning, among other accolades, Jazz FMâs Soul Artist of the Year award. During its creation, she suffered a serious back injury that required a long recovery and a re-learning of her vocal technique. Despite this, she completed the project entirely on her own, collaborating with British and American musicians and sound engineers. Buoyed by support from national radio stations and headlining concerts, she has established herself as one of the leading figures in modern soul in the United Kingdom and made her comeback with a second album, A Little Bit of Me (2026).
