Le Mercedes Band is a Quebec rock band formed in the 1990s, which came to public attention mainly through its participation in the TV show L'Heure J.M.P., hosted by Jean-Marc Parent, where it served as a live band accompanying various musical performances. The original group included Réjean Lachance (guitar and vocals), Alain Couture (vocals and flute), Kevin De Souza (bass), Pierre Bélisle (keyboards) and Serge Gratton (drums). They made their mark on the Quebec music scene in the mid-1990s, earning a nomination at the ADISQ Gala as "Group of the Year" in 1997. Years later, the band has continued to perform and record, even as the line-up has evolved. In 2012, original members Réjean Lachance and Alain Couture relaunched the project with a new album entitled Post Mortem and concerts.
