Biography
Melveen Leed, born in 1943 on Molokai island, Hawaii, is an American singer. After graduating from Radford High School in Honolulu and winning the title of Miss Molokai, she began her singing career in the mid-1960s with her debut album Melveen Leed at the Garden Bar (1966). Throughout her career, Leed released numerous albums, including Melveen Leed's Hawaiian Country (1975) and I Love You Hawaii (1978). She won the Na Hoku Hanohano Award for Best Female Vocalist multiple times. Leed has performed in various locations, including Hawaii, Las Vegas, Japan, and California's west coast. Additionally, she sang at the Grand Ole Opry and had guest roles on Hawaii Five-O.
