Biography
Meishi Smile is a Los Angelesâbased music project formed by producer, vocalist, and songwriter Faye Yim, with the name first used in 2010. Initially a solo project, Meishi Smile blends elements of noise music, J-pop, and shoegaze. In 2014, their debut album Lust was released on Attack The Music and Zoom Lens. Later that year, Yim released a single called "Star" on Maltine Records. In 2015, Yim debuted their first video on national television with the video "AJS" and premiered a new single entitled "Breathe." In 2020, Meishi Smile transitioned from a solo project to a full band. The group released several albums including Ressentiment (2021).
