Fabián Andrés Acosta Rolla, known as Max Capote, born on August 12, 1977, in Montevideo, Uruguay, is a musician and singer-songwriter. Inspired by The Beach Boys and The Beatles, he began his musical journey at age 12 and formed his first band, Los Cats, at 14 after watching La Bamba. In his adolescence, Acosta started recording his own songs in a home studio. In 2003, Max Capote brought a demo to a Montevideo radio station, leading to airplay for one of his tracks. This exposure prompted him to form the band Max Capote, which supported his live performances. His debut album, Greatest Hits, was released in 2005 under Bizarro Records. Notable releases include Chicle (2008), for which he was nominated for seven Premios Graffiti, and "Ana / Si nena" (2011). Max Capote performed at the Festival Vive Latino and South by Southwest in 2013.
