Maurizio Arcieri, born in 1942 in Milan, Italy, was a singer known for his contributions to pop rock and electronic music. He began his career as a member of the 1960s Italian beat band the New Dada, supporting The Beatles at their Milan concert in the spring of 1967. Following the group's split, Arcieri released several singles including "Ballerina" and "Il comizio". His breakthrough came with "Cinque Minuti e poi...", a hit from the "Disco per l'Estate" Festival in 1968, which became the leit-motiv of the musical comedy movie Quelli belli siamo noi, in which he also acted. Arcieri released several albums including Maurizio (1970) and Trasparenze (1973). He was also chosen as the Italian narrator for the pan-European album The Rock Peter and the Wolf, a Polydor project involving Brian Eno, Phil Collins, and Alvin Lee. Arcieri passed away in 2015 in Varese, Italy.
