Amber Maude McAfee-Maggart (born February 24, 1975), performing as Maude Maggart, is an American cabaret singer and recording artist from New York City. The daughter of Brandon Maggart and Diane McAfee, she is the sister of singer-songwriter Fiona Apple. Maggart attended the Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School and Bennington College. She adopted her stage name at age 20 and made her cabaret debut in Los Angeles in 2001. Maggartâs discography featured the live album Maude Maggart Sings 1920's Broadway (2002) and the studio albums Look for the Silver Lining (2003), With Sweet Despair (2005), and Maude Maggart Sings Irving Berlin (2005). She collaborated with Brent Spiner on Dreamland (2008) and Manu Lafer on The Word (2017). Maggart contributed vocals to Appleâs albums The Idler Wheel... (2012) and Fetch the Bolt Cutters (2020), including the tracks âHot Knifeâ, âNewspaperâ, and âLadiesâ.
