Masashi Sada (ãã ã¾ãã, Sada Masashi, born 10 April 1952 in Nagasaki) is a Japanese singer, lyricist, composer, novelist, actor, and film producer who cut his teeth as one half of folk duo Grape with Masami Yoshida in 1972. After securing a number two hit in Japan with the self-composed "Shourou Nagashi" (ç²¾éæµã) (1974) and racking up a string of other hit singles, the pair parted ways two years later and Masashi Sada launched his solo career with debut album Kikyorai that year. He went on to put out an abundance of acclaimed music, totalling over 35 solo albums and 70 singles, as well including a string of live albums or compilations and penning his first novel in 2001. He dropped a pair of new albums in 2021, Sadadon Shinjibunfudoki3 and Aoharu 49.69, with å¤æ² arriving in 2022.
