Biography

Masako Mori (born October 13, 1958 in Tochigi Prefecture) is a former singer and actress who represents the Japanese singing world. and made a spectacular debut at the age of 13. Together with Momoe Yamaguchi and Junko Sakurada, they gained national popularity as the "Hana no Chuzo Trio. With her overwhelming singing ability, she also released a series of masterpieces as an enka singer, such as"Aishii Honsen Nihonkai (The Sea of Japan on the Main Line)" and"Echigo-Tsubame (The Winter Swallow). After retiring and divorcing due to marriage, she made a dramatic comeback as a solo singer in 2006. On June 7 of the same year, she released her first new single in 20 years, "Rosai-iro no Mirai" (Rose-colored Future). This song was a message song filled with hope and served as a stepping stone to her appearance in the NHK Kohaku Uta Gassen later that year. Since then, she has been active in a variety of fields, including acting and writing essays, and has continued to inspire many people with her sincere personality and singing voice. In 2019, she sadly ended her nearly half-century career in the entertainment industry.
