Martin Litton, born on May 14, 1957, in Grays, Essex, UK, is a British jazz pianist. He began piano lessons at age eleven and studied music at Colchester Institute, graduating with a BA (Honours) degree in 1978. Litton's career took off when he joined Kenny Ball and his Jazzmen in 1983, touring the Middle East and Russia. His first solo album, Jazz Piano, was released in 1993. Throughout the 1990s, Litton collaborated with notable musicians such as Humphrey Lyttelton and Wally Fawkes, and toured extensively with Keith Smith's Hefty Jazz and Bob Hunt's Duke Ellington orchestra. In the early 2000s, Litton continued to tour internationally, including performances at Jazz Ascona in Switzerland, and achieved notable success with Bing and Bob, A Tribute to the Crosby Brothers at the Purcell Room London.
