Biography

Star Search project Marlon & Freunde is a musical project of the SAT-1 casting show Star Search. The central face of the project is Marlon Knauer (born August 19, 1987 in Berlin). In addition to Marlon Knauer, Marlon & Freunde includes prominent contributors such as Peter Maffay, Nena, Udo Lindenberg, Herbert Dreilich (Karat), Joachim Witt and Rolf Stahlhofen. The genre of the production can be categorized as pop-oriented benefit pop/rock, which emerged in the context of the German music scene of the early 2000s. The project is characterized by its only, but highly acclaimed release: the charity single "Lieber Gott" (2002), which was released in aid of the regions of Germany affected by the floods and was conceived as a joint production by all the musicians involved.
