Biography

Born on 26 December 1986 in Athens, Marina Satti is a Greek singer-songwriter, producer, and performer celebrated for her distinctive fusion of traditional Greek music with contemporary pop and electronic elements. Her background—she is of Greek and Sudanese descent—greatly influences her sound, and she began putting out music in 2012. With the release of her breakthrough single "Mantissa" in 2017, Arina Satti gained notoriety by standing out for her unique vocal style and cross-cultural aesthetic. Drawing inspiration from Greek folk music, rebetiko, and Middle Eastern rhythms, she mixes the modern with the traditional, often bringing in elements of dance and visual storytelling. A further slew of singles followed "Mantisa," including "Páli (Πάλι)" and "Pónos Kryfós (Πόνος Κρυφός)" in 2021. Her debut album Yenna landed in 2022 with the "Tucutum" single emerging in 2023. In 2024, she represented Greece at the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 in Malmö with the track "Zári," with which she charted on home soil.
