Marie Serneholt was born on July 11, 1983 in Stockholm, Sweden. She is a pop singer and model and is one of the defining figures of European pop music in the late 1990s and 2000s. She began her musical career in 1998 as a member of the group A*Teens. In this formation, together with Sara Lumholdt, Dhani Lennevald and Amit Sebastian Paul, she became part of one of Sweden's most successful pop bands. With ATeens, she helped shape the pop and Europop genre and contributed to the band's international fame - their albums sold millions of copies in many countries. After ATeens disbanded in 2004, Marie Serneholt launched a solo career in 2006. Her debut album Enjoy the Ride (2006) is released on March 29. The first single "That's the Way My Heart Goes" is a great success: it reaches number 2 in Sweden, reaches number 1 in the Swedish download charts and goes gold. Other singles from the album are "I Need a House" (2006) and "Oxygen" (2006). She later released the songs "Disconnect Me" (2009) and "Salt & Pepper" (2012).
