Christina Aguilera (born of Ecuadorian parents on December 18, 1980, in Staten Island, New York) made her name as a teen pop singer on Christina Aguilera (1999, Billboard #1), then recalled her Latin roots on Mi Reflejo (2000), played the sultry card on Stripped (2002, #2), before establishing herself as a vocalist with the release of Back to Basics (2006, second U.S. #1). In 2010, she offers a further change of style with Bionic (No. 3), an electro-tinged fifth album, then makes her screen debut in Burlesque. In 2011, Christina Aguilera became a juror on the American version of The Voice and scored another global number one with Maroon 5's "Moves Like Jagger". For her sixth album, Lotus (2012, No. 7), the American performer shifts her style from dance to rock. After the single "Change" (No. 173 in 2016), intended to raise funds for families affected by the Orlando (Florida) massacre, Christina Aguilera released an eclectic eighth album produced by Kanye West, Liberation (No. 6 in 2018), featuring duets with Demi Lovato, Shenseea, GoldLink and "Accelerate" with Ty Dolla $ign and 2 Chainz. After appearing on the soundtrack of the Disney Studios film Mulan in 2020 on the tracks "Loyal Brave True" and "Reflection", the singer returned the following year with the single "Pa Mis Muchachas", recorded with the assistance of Becky G, Nicky Nicole and Nathy Peluso. The track reached number 68 in the Spanish charts.
