Biography

Münchner Zwietracht is a German folk‑pop group founded in 1991 by Wolfgang Köbele, Karl Eichinger and Heinz Fuhrmann in Munich, Bavaria. The trio began performing locally before gaining national attention through television appearances and a 1992 European tour with Karl Moik and other artists. Their debut album, Münchner Zwietracht, was released the same year, followed by Vorlaute G'schichten (1995) and Das Gelbe vom Ei (1997). In 1999 the live recording Oktoberfest München Live captured the band’s growing reputation at the Munich Oktoberfest, where they performed continuously from 1995 to 2013 in the Hippodrom and later in the Marstall and Fischer‑Vroni tents. The 2001 single "Moos Hamma" entered the Top 100 charts, and the 2003 album Das Beste consolidated their presence in the German music scene. Subsequent releases-Oktoberfest Forever (2006), Heute Feiern Wir (2010), the EP I Hob An Kurzen In Da Hosn (2012) and the studio album Mittendrin Dabei (2016)-demonstrated a steady output under Tyrolis Music. The group earned the Artist of the Year award in 2022 and again in 2023 for their live performances, underscoring their enduring popularity in the party‑and Oktoberfest‑band sector.
