Biography

Rainer Limpinsel, known professionally as Mambo Kurt, was born on April 11, 1967, in Hagen, Germany, and is a doctor, solo entertainer, and musician. In 1982, Limpinsel became the best heimorgel player in North Rhine-Westphalia. His breakthrough came in 1997 when members of the band Clawfinger discovered him performing as an Alleinunterhalter (one-man entertainer) and invited him on tour. In 1998, he released his album The Return Of Alleinunterhalter. Mambo Kurt is known for his distinctive style, often performing on a vintage Yamaha D-85 Electone heimorgel and wearing 1970s-inspired attire. He has performed at major festivals such as Wacken Open Air and appeared regularly in television shows like Veronas Welt and Die Pierre M. Krause Show.
