Biography

Mélissa Yansané, born June 9, 1999 in Aix-en-Provence, France, is a Franco-Congolese singer, rapper and dancer. Influenced by music from an early age, thanks to her mother, a former zouk singer, Mélissa developed a passion for the arts and performance. In 2015, she made a name for herself by winning a talent contest in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo, which opened the doors to the music world. Two years later, in 2017, she made her debut with the single"Run for Your Life", a track that marked the start of her career. In 2020, she collaborated with Gaz Mawete on the track"Na Lembi", followed by"Bâton Magique" in 2021, which became a hit. Mélissa fuses genres, combining Afrobeat, Congolese rumba and R&B, to reflect her origins and international influences. Today, she has established herself as a rising voice on the Afro-urban scene.
