Maki Yano (ç¢éã¾ã), born 29â¯Aprilâ¯1977 in Japan, is a Jâpop singer who began performing in the late 1990s. After training as a vocalist, she debuted in Julyâ¯1999 with the single "Early Summer Happenings", marking her entry into the mainstream Japanese pop scene. In 2001 she released the EP ããããã® and the album ãã°ã®ãã, establishing a reputation for acoustic pop with occasional rock and jazz influences. Her next studio album, ãããã (2003), expanded her fan base, followed by ã¯ãã - 饿 (2004) and ãã風 (2005), each charting within the top 50 of the Oricon Albums Chart. The 2005 album ãã®ã¾ã showcased a more mature sound, and the 2007 release BIRTH continued her presence in the industry. In 2009, ãªã¿ã ãã ãç¢éçç´æ³£ããçæï¼ã©ã¤ãï¼ãã¹ãã and æ¬é³ã¨ã¯æã compiled live performances and new tracks, respectively. Her later singles, çª (2007) and çããã㨠(2014), reflected a shift toward introspective songwriting.
