Cape Town-born, Melbourne-based Australian musician, producer, and electronic artist Lucianblomkamp has carved a niche for himself with a genre-defying style that blends an array of musical genres and experimental elements. Classically trained, Lucianblomkamp garnered recognition for his immersive and thought-provoking auditory landscapes. Characterised by a fusion of electronic, ambient, and experimental genres, his exploratory debut album, Post-Nature was released in 2014 to received critical acclaim. Second LP, Bad Faith, followed two years later, seeing lead single âHelp Me Out,â nominated for an AIR Award in the category of Best Dance, Electronica, or Club Single. After securing a win on FBi Radio's Northern Lights competition, Lucianblomkamp earned himself a place in the line-up of the Iceland Airwaves Festival alongside renowned acts like Caribou and The Flaming Lips. He has performed at notable events such as Splendour in the Grass, Strawberry Fields, BIGSOUND, Secret Garden Festival, Melbourne Music Week, and the David Bowie Is exhibition at ACMI. Releasing a string of highly successful singles, including "The Overman" (2016), "Sick of What I Don't Understand" (2017), "Endless" (2017), and "Control Together" (2018), his EP Motto appeared in 2019, preceded by singles "Come to Light" and "SD." Over the next few years, Lucianblomkamp spent considerable time behind the scenes, contributing his songwriting and production talents to a range of exciting artists, including Grammy-winning artist 6LACK and beloved Australian acts like Mallrat, Sycco, Triple One, Nick Ward, and Kult Kyss. In 2022, he unveiled his highly anticipated third album, Where in the World is LUCIANBLOMKAMP? Collaborating with artists such as Darcy Baylis, A.Girl., Raj Mahal, Stevan, Ijale, Madam3empress, and more, the album featured singles such as "Still Dreaming," "Back Up," and "Ducks in a Row" and received considerable airplay on Triple J.
