Biography

Lucia Cadotsch, born February 23, 1984, in Zürich, Switzerland, is a Swiss singer with a jazz background. She studied jazz vocals at the Universität der Künste Berlin and the Rytmisk Musikkonservatorium in Kopenhagen. Cadotsch's breakthrough came with the band Schneeweiss & Rosenrot, releasing three albums between 2009 and 2012. In 2016, she formed the project Speak Low with Petter Eldh and Otis Sandsjö, releasing two acclaimed albums. Notable collaborations include work with Wanja Slavin in Liun + The Science Fiction Band and Manon Kahle in Yellow Bird. Cadotsch won the Hauptpreis at the first Nationalen Gesangswettbewerb New Voices in 2009, the Neuen Deutschen Jazzpreis in 2012, an Echo Jazz in 2017 for Speak Low (2016), and the Deutscher Jazzpreis in 2021. In 2023, she received the Schweizer Musikpreis.
