Biography

Los Traviezoz de la Zierra (also billed as Traviezoz de la Zierra) was formed in Nogales, Mexico, in 2009 as a sierreño group balancing corridos/narcocorridos with romantic material, first building a following through local events and regional touring before recording originals. Their early identity solidified around a core quartet—frontman and principal voice El Kompa Chente (Víctor Vicente Pérez Coyantes), guitarist Adrián García (Adrián Antonio García Cervantes), accordionist/vocalist Efrén Noriz (Jesús Efrén Noris Vega), and Adolfo Cordero (Adolfo Cordero Valdéz) on bajo sexto/bass—who powered the group’s first breakout releases. In 2013 they broke through with the album Así es Mi Cartel, anchored by “Así Es Mi Cartel,” then followed quickly with Plan B, building a cross-border audience in Mexico and the U.S. Southwest. In 2014 the group earned industry visibility with a nomination for Sierreño Group of the Year at Premios de la Radio, and in 2015 their album Los Días de Ayer reached the Top 20 of Billboard’s Regional Mexican Albums chart. They kept expanding their catalog with A Ver Que Opinan (Versión Deluxe) (2015) and Alto Al Fuego (2016), then launched their own imprint TDLZ Records in 2016, a move that framed the next phase of releases such as Mejor Hay Nos Vidrios (2017) and Solo Contra el Mundo (2019). In the 2020s they continued issuing singles and live material, including Nuestros Inicios, Vol. 1 (En Vivo) (2019) feeding into later releases like En Vivo, Especial Para Mamá (2023), followed by Adicto (2024) and multiple 2025 projects including Egoísta, Tablas, and El Recordatorio.
