Twin Peaks is an American indie rock band from Chicago, Illinois, formed in 2010 by Cadien Lake James. The group initially consisted of childhood friends including Jack Dolan and Connor Brodner, with Clay Frankel joining later. They emerged from the DIY music scene in Chicago, where they attended and played shows at various house venues. Their debut album Sunken (2013) was recorded in James' basement using basic equipment. Their second album, Wild Onion (2014), was released through Grand Jury and Communion Music. Notable songs from this period include "Stand in the Sand" (2013) and "Flavor" (2014). Their third album, Down in Heaven (2016), included singles like "Walk to the One You Love" (2016) and "Butterfly" (2016). Their discography also includes the albums Urbs in Horto (2017), Sweet '17 Singles (2018), Lookout Low (2019), Side A (2020), and the live album Freezing in Chicago â Live at Thalia Hall, December 31st, 2017 (2026).
