London Cowboys, a British rock band formed in 1980, was founded by Steve Dior and Barry Jones. The group's debut album, Animal Pleasure, released in 1982, set the tone for their raw rock 'n' roll sound with notable tracks like "Hook Line and Sinker" and "Reggae Cop". The band's lineup was notoriously unstable, but Dior and Jones remained the core members. In 1984, they released Tall in the Saddle, featuring Glen Matlock of the Sex Pistols on bass. Despite their short-lived career, ending in 1986, London Cowboys left a lasting impact with their energetic live performances and distinctive sound. Their albums were reissued in 1992 as compilations, and in 2008, Relapse was released, featuring unreleased tracks and a retrospective of the band's career.
