Ljubomir AliÄiÄ, known professionally as Ljuba AliÄiÄ, is a Serbian folk singer born on November 2, 1955, in Å abac, FPR Yugoslavia. His career began at age 16 with the release of his first single, "Pruži mi ruku, prijatelju moj", in 1971. AliÄiÄ's breakthrough came with the release of his debut album HoÄu susret u Äetiri oka in 1979, followed by Nisi znala za bol srca moga in 1980. Throughout the 1980s and 1990s, he released numerous albums including Ostavljen živim bez tebe (1981), Voleli smo isto vino, istu ženu (1982), and Gde si sada, prijatelju moj (1983). His notable songs include "Hej, Äuprijo na Miljacki" and "Ciganin sam, al' najlepÅ¡i", the latter being his biggest hit released in 2003. AliÄiÄ released albums into the 2000s and 2010s, including Sve je laž (2013). With a career of over five decades, he became a prominent figure in Serbian folk music.
