Living Death was a German speed/thrash metal band formed in 1981 in Velbert, North Rhine-Westphalia by brothers Reiner and Dieter Kelch, along with Frank Fricke. They began as a heavy metal act but shifted towards thrash metal with their later releases. In 1983, Living Death recorded their first demo, Living Death. Their debut album, Vengeance of Hell, was released in 1984 and marked the beginning of their career. The band toured extensively, including a support tour for Warlock. Subsequent albums include Metal Revolution (1985), Protected from Reality (1987), and Worlds Neuroses (1989). In 1991, Living Death disbanded after releasing their final album, Killing in Action. The band reunited for a performance at the Keep it True XII festival in April 2009.
