Biography
Lisa McHugh is a multi-talented Scottish-Irish singer who has carved out a name for herself in the Irish country and pop music scenes. Born in Glasgow on 16 August 1988, but raised in County Donegal, Ireland, she seamlessly blends the rich storytelling traditions of Irish folk with the upbeat rhythms of modern country music. Since the release of her debut album Old Fashioned Girl in 2010, she has continually pushed the boundaries of what it means to be a modern country artist. With a string of successful albums, chart-topping singles, and numerous award nominations, she has won over fans both in Ireland and abroad, particularly in the U.K. and the United States. In the late 2010s and 2020s, she scored several Top 10 albums in Ireland with the likes of 2016's #Country (#3) and 2017's Who Am I (#1). In 2025, she released the album Live at the Ulster Hall.
