Biography
Lim Hyunjung, born on 7â¯Marchâ¯1974 in Seoul, Korea, began her musical journey in Seoulâs public schools before studying practical music at Seoul Arts University. Her debut single "First Love" in 1996 marked her entry into the rock scene, followed by the release of the album Scissor Hands the same year. In 1998 she issued Tin Drum, and the early 2000s saw the studio albums 3th Lim HyunJung (2000), A Year Outâ¦In the Island (2003), and All That Love (2006), each featuring the popular tracks "Thank You" and "Love Like Spring Rain, Good-bye Like Winter Rain". Her 2018 releases "Love Is Coming" and "So Far I" continued her presence on the Korean charts, while the 2019 single "Saudade" received critical acclaim for its lyrical depth. In 2025, Lim Hyunjung released Extraordinary, her latest studio work, which earned a nomination for Best Rock Album at the Korean Music Awards. Her 2003 album A Year Outâ¦In the Island entered Korea's Top 100 albums chart at rank 93 on the week of January 19, 2026.
