Biography

Les Souliers Rouges is a short-lived project created by Marc Lavoine and his regular composer Fabrice Aboulker, inspired by the homonymous tale by Danish writer Hans Christian Andersen, adapted for the screen by Michael Powell in Red Shoes and already set to music by Kate Bush in 1993. For this story about a dancer in love with her choreographer and an author, the singer called on two other performers, Quebec's Coeur de Pirate and Arthur H. The album, released under the generic name Les Souliers Rouges in September 2016, unveils "Vivre ou ne pas vivre" as the first single , performed as a trio, while other songs are solo or in duet.
