Biography

Fredericks Goldman Jones is a band and collaboration between French musician and songwriter Jean-Jacques Goldman, US singer Carole Fredericks and Welsh singer, guitarist, and songwriter Michael Jones. The band formed in France in 1990 and their combination of vocal and songwriting styles resulted in a pair of top selling albums: 'Fredericks Goldman Jones' in 1990 and 'Rouge' in 1993 before the band split amicably in 1996. This second album is notable due to its use of the Russian Red Army choir. Although Jean-Jacques Goldman took the main writing duties, Jones and he combined talents on a number of songs. Despite the official split in 1996, the band still plays the occasional concert, and even released the single 'Peurs' in the year 2000.
