Leon Everette is an American country music artist who was born as Leon Everette Baughman in Aiken, South Carolina, in 1948. He achieved professional recognition after winning a singing contest while serving in the Navy during the Vietnam War and is famous for reaching the top 10 of the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts with eight singles between 1980 and 1984. His discography includes the studio recordings Goodbye King of Rock N' Roll (1977), If I Keep On Going Crazy (1981), and Hurricane (1981). Everette reached the top 10 with the tracks âOverâ (1980), âGiving Up Easyâ (1980), âHurricaneâ (1981), and âMidnight Rodeoâ (1981). His later recordings include the studio album Where's the Fire (1985). He returned in 2010 with the single âUnited States of America.â
