Biography

Lenin Ramírez (Jesús Lenin Cota Ramírez, born on January 24, 1989, in Culiacán, Sinaloa) is a Mexican regional singer-songwriter whose career began inside the Sinaloa scene before he moved into the label-driven corrido circuit. He sang from childhood and, after performing with the group El Comando de Sinaloa around the start of the 2010s, he launched his solo run in 2014 and quickly aligned with DEL Records. His early catalog established his style through consecutive full-length releases: Mi Conquista (2015) introduced his name on record, then Siempre Firme (2015) and Album De Mi Puño Y Letra (2016) expanded his songwriting-forward approach into a broader set of corridos and romantic cuts. He followed with Las Vueltas de la Vida (2017) and then Bendecido (2018), which became a major career marker and later earned him Billboard Latin Music Awards recognition in the regional Mexican field. In 2019, he pushed further into mainstream visibility with the live collaboration “Yo Ya No Vuelvo Contigo (En Vivo)” featuring Grupo Firme, a song that crossed into chart territory beyond the regional lane, and he kept the pace with Seguimos Adelante (2019) and Sin Perder el Estilo (2020). His 2021 partnership with Grupo Firme continued on “En Tu Perra Vida,” and his 2020s output stayed steady with albums like Con Los Pies en La Tierra (2023), Bien Positivo (2024)—including the Banda MS duet “Pa’ Olvidarme de tus Besos”—and Reinicio (2024), which featured “Todo Lo Fue.” In 2025, he extended the cycle with La Vida Que Nos Tocó and another high-profile live pairing with Grupo Firme on “Ctrl + Z (En Vivo).”
