Biography

Leland Martin, born February 20, 1957, in Success, Missouri, is an American country singer and songwriter. Raised in a musical family, with both his grandmother and father being country singers, Leland Martin held various jobs as a truck driver, house painter, and sawmill worker before pursuing music full-time. His breakthrough came when he signed with Rival Records, leading to the release of his debut album Home Is Where the Honky Tonk Is on November 24, 1998. Subsequent albums include Simply Traditional (2002), Leland Martin (2005), and I'll Pick the Guitar, You Drive the Truck (2008).
