Las Migas, a Spanish popular music band, was formed in 2004 in Barcelona by Marta Robles on guitar and vocals, SÃlvia Pérez Cruz as lead vocalist, Isabelle Laudenbach on violin, and Lisa Bause on guitar. They gained early recognition by winning the Instituto de Juventud (INJUVE) award for best flamenco group, which led to performances at various festivals across Europe and North Africa. Their debut album, Reinas del matute, was released in 2010 with production by Raül Refree. In subsequent years, Las Migas experienced several lineup changes, including the addition of Alicia Grillo on guitar and vocals in 2014. Notable albums include Nosotras somos (2012), Vente conmigo (2016), and Cuatro (2019). In November 2022, their album Libres won the Grammy Latino for Best Flamenco Album. After touring extensively through Europe and the Americas, Las Migas released Flamencas in 2025, a return-to-roots studio album centered on palos such as soleá, bulerÃa and tangos, which won Best Flamenco Album at the 2025 Latin Grammy Awards and confirmed their long-term evolution from traditionalists to global ambassadors of contemporary flamenco while they remained active internationally.
