Biography

Camela, a Spanish musical group from Madrid's San Cristóbal de los Ángeles neighborhood, was formed in 1994 by Dionisio Martín Lobato, María de los Ángeles Muñoz Dueñas, and Miguel Ángel Cabrera Jiménez. Their early career began with homemade demos like Tinieblas (1990) and Junto a mí (1992), which gained local popularity. In 1994, they released their debut album Lágrimas de amor, marking their entry into the Spanish music scene. The group's subsequent albums, including Sueños inalcanzables (1995) and Corazón indomable (1997), achieved significant chart success. Their 2001 album Amor.com sold over 400,000 copies, contributing to their total sales of more than 4 million discs by that time. After Miguel Ángel Cabrera's departure in 2013, Camela continued as a duo, releasing albums like Me metí en tu corazón (2017) and celebrating their 25th anniversary with the compilation Rebobinando (2019). Que la Música Te Acompañe, Camela's seventeenth studio album, arrived in 2022.
