Larkin Grimm, born in 1981 in Memphis, Tennessee, is an American singer. At age 20, she dropped out of Yale University and moved to Alaska, where she began experimenting with singing. She later returned to Yale and completed her Art degree. Grimm began recording her first album Harpoon (2005), influenced by her experiences performing with the Dirty Projectors. She then moved to Providence, Rhode Island, releasing subsequent albums including The Last Tree (2006) and Parplar (2008, Young God Records). In 2017, she released Chasing an Illusion on Northern Spy Records, recorded in a natural cave with raw vocals and layered live recordings. Grimm has also contributed guest vocals to various artists, including Mudboy and Angels of Light.
