LÃ-PPISCH is a rock band formed in Tokyo in 1981 that made its major-label debut in 1987 with the single âPayapayaâ. Their sound is characterized by a unique blend of punk rock, ska, reggae, and funk. The members are MAGUMI (vocals, trumpet), tatsu (bass), and Kyoichi Sugimoto (guitar). Their major works include the albums âKARAKURI HOUSEâ (1990) and âmakeâ (1994), and they are known for songs such as âPayapayaâ (1988), âRicksackâ (1990), and âArigatouâ (1995). âArigatouâ was released as a single in 1995 and became one of the defining works of the bandâs later period.
