Lacrimas Profundere, a German dark rock band, was founded in 1993 by guitarist Oliver Nikolas Schmid. The band released their debut album ...And the Wings Embraced Us in 1995 and signed with Napalm Records in 1999 for the album Memorandum. Their international breakthrough came with Burning: A Wish in 2001. Notable albums include Fall, I Will Follow (2003), Ave End (2004), and Filthy Notes for Frozen Hearts (2006). The latter received significant attention when songs were featured on Bam Margera's show Bam's Unholy Union. In 2019, Lacrimas Profundere released Bleeding the Stars, marking a return to their heavier gothic roots with new vocalist Julian Larre.
