La Mode was a Spanish pop group formed in 1981, emerging from the Movida Madrileña scene. The band, led by Fernando Márquez El Zurdo, made their debut performance at the Escuela de Caminos de Madrid on December 12, 1981. Their first album El eterno femenino (1982) featured the hit "Aquella canción de Roxy". Despite health issues affecting Márquez, La Mode released their second album, 1984, in 1984, which included the notable track "En cualquier fiesta". Márquez left the group in April 1984 and was replaced by Daniel Ballester. The band continued with releases like Lejos del paraÃso (1985) and La evolución de las costumbres (1986), the latter of which marked their disbandment. La Mode's influence persisted, with a recognition in 2014 when Mario Gil and Antonio Zancajo performed as Robots y Japonesas, referencing "El eterno femenino".
