Kyoko Fukada, born on November 2, 1982, in Tokyo, Japan, is a Japanese actress and singer. At 13, she won the 21st Talent Scout Caravan Grand Prix Award, launching her career. Fukada started acting in 1997 with the TV series Sore ga Kotae da! and debuted in film with Ring 2 (1999). Her music career began with the single "The Last Fruit" and EP Dear⦠(1999), followed by albums like Moon (2000) and Universe (2001). Notable singles include "Kirameki no Shunkan" (2000) and "Swimming" (2001). In 2004, she won the Mainichi Film Award for Best Actress for her role in Kamikaze Girls. Fukada took a hiatus in 2021 due to health reasons but resumed her career later that year.
