Kvitretten, a Norwegian jazz vocal group, was formed in 1991. The original lineup included Tone Ã
se, Anna Sundström, Kjersti Stubø, Hans Jørgen Støp, and Eldbjørg Raknes, all of whom had received vocal training at Norwegian universities. The group gained initial recognition through their improvisational and experimental a cappella performances. Their debut album Voices, released in 1996, was a significant success in Norway. Following the departure of Anna Sundström in 1994 and Hans Jørgen Støp in 1995, Kristin Asbjørnsen joined the group. Kjersti Stubø also left in 1997 and was replaced by Solveig Slettahjell. Their second album Everything Turns was released in 1999. In 2002, they released their third album Kloden er en snurrebass som snurrer oss, a collaborative project with Christian Wallumrød and Torgeir Rebbolledo Pedersen.
