Biography

Kristin Ann Korb, born on October 29, 1969, in Billings, Montana, is an American jazz musician and singer. From a young age, Korb played music with her brothers and formed a rock-and-roll band. She studied music education at Eastern Montana College before pursuing classical double bass at the University of California, San Diego under Bertram Turetzky. Korb's career began with her debut album Introducing Kristin Korb in 1996, featuring collaborations with notable musicians like Conte Candoli and Ray Brown. She continued to release albums, including Where You’ll Find Me in 2001 and What’s Your Story in 2013. Throughout her career, she has collaborated with prominent figures such as Anthony Davis and Clark Terry. Korb's work includes notable performances at events like Jazz Baltica and Nordischer Klang. Aside from her recording and performing work, Korb has taught at the University of Southern California and Azusa Pacific University.
