Biography

Kristen Noguès, born March 14, 1952, in Versailles, France, was a harpist and composer of Breton origin. She started her musical journey learning piano before transitioning to the Celtic harp under Denise Mégevand. In the early 1960s, she joined Telenn Bleimor, a group of female Celtic harpists, and later moved back to Brittany, where she immersed herself in traditional Breton chants and ballads. Her solo career began with her first single "Don Eo Ar Mor" in 1974, followed by her debut album Marc'h Gouez in 1976. Throughout her career, Noguès collaborated with notable artists such as Jacques Pellen and Didier Lockwood. She passed away on July 5, 2007. A double album titled Logodennig 1952-2007, celebrating her work, was released in 2008.
