Biography

Krissy Matthews, born on May 25, 1992 in the United Kingdom, is a British-Norwegian blues rock singer-songwriter and guitarist. He received his first electric guitar at age eight and began playing songs by The Shadows under his father's tutelage. His musical direction shifted after discovering Amund Maarud during a holiday in Norway. Matthews' breakthrough came when he met John Mayall backstage, who invited him to perform "All Your Love (I Miss Loving)" with the band at a concert. He released his debut album Influences, later renamed Blues Boy, in 2005 at age 13. Subsequent albums include No Age Limit (2007), Allen in Reverse (2009), Hit the Rock (2011), and Scenes from a Moving Window (2015). Notable performances include supporting Joe Bonamassa at Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club and touring with Tedeschi Trucks Band.
