Biography

KrashKarma is an American hard rock and heavy metal band from Los Angeles, California, formed in 2005. The group was founded by guitarist and vocalist Ralf Dietel, a former touring member of Nine Inch Nails, and features drummer and vocalist Nicole Skistimas. Initially known as “Suicide Holiday”, the quartet released three EPs and two studio albums, including Songs from the Dark Side (2007), before officially renaming themselves KrashKarma in 2008. In 2009, the band issued its first EP under the new moniker, titled Seven Deadly Sounds, and went on a tour across the United States and parts of Africa. The band’s European debut album, Straight to Blood, was released through Sony Music in 2010, followed by a United States release via EMI in 2011. KrashKarma later evolved into a duo, often described as the “White Stripes of Metal,” utilizing Dietel’s custom-built “Mrs. Frankenstein” instrument which allows him to play guitar and bass simultaneously. The band’s extensive discography includes the albums Paint the Devil (2015), Morph (2018), Storm (2021), and Falling to Pieces (2023). Notable career achievements include winning the Rock City News Award for Beste Eigenständige Tourband in 2007 and Dietel performing alongside acts such as Foo Fighters and Rammstein.
