Born in 1979 in Santa Bárbara, Bahia, Kiko Chicabana found his passion for music in school, where he and his friends would drum on desks and sing between classes. Despite early resistance from his family, his love for performing pushed him to pursue a career in music. In 2007, he became the lead singer of Chicabana, a band that quickly gained national recognition for its high-energy axé sound. Drawing inspiration from Chiclete com Banana, rock, and forró, the group became a staple at Brazilâs biggest micaretas, releasing multiple promotional CDs each year. Their biggest hit, "Eu Quero Só Você," became widely popular and was later re-recorded by Jorge & Mateus. With 14 albums and seven DVDs to their name, Chicabana solidified its place in the Brazilian music scene. Kikoâs career took another turn when Wesley Safadão invited him to perform at a major festival, a moment that reinforced his growing influence. Through his relentless dedication and the deep connection he shares with his fans, Kiko Chicabana continues to make his mark on Brazilian axé music.
