Biography
Nicolas Scaravilli, born in 1974, is a Belgian house music producer and DJ of Italian descent who performs under the moniker Kid Crème. After being expelled from music college in 1991, he established a home studio inspired by the London breakbeat scene and met DJ Murvin Jay, which introduced him to house music and led to DJ residencies at Brusselsâ Club XXX. Scaravilli spent four years as an assistant engineer at Let's Go Studios, where he met Vito âJunior Jackâ Lucente, and in 1994 he founded his own label, DTM Recordz, before signing a contract with R&S Records. His early releases under Kid Crème, including "Austin's Groove" (2001) and "Down and Under" (2003), were licensed by Jalapeño Records and received critical acclaim. Subsequent singles such as "Illegal Beats Part One" (2006) and "Everybody's Flying" (2002) expanded his catalog, while collaborations with Junior Jack, Shakedown, and Kylie Minogue yielded remixes that gained international attention. Kid Crèmeâs track "Hypnotizing" reached number 31 on the UK Singles Chart in 2004, marking a significant commercial milestone. Throughout the 2000s, he released the single Doing My Own Thing (2004) and continued to produce house music for various labels, solidifying his presence in the European club scene.
