Biography
Christoffer "Kid" Andersen, born on January 15, 1980, is a blues guitarist from Herre, Norway who gained early attention from Norwegian blues guitar teacher Morten Omlid at age 11. In 2001, Andersen moved to the United States and joined Terry Hanck's band, becoming a prominent figure on the West Coast blues scene. He later played with Charlie Musselwhite, contributing to the album Delta Hardware, which won a Blues Music Award for Best Contemporary Blues Album. Andersen also toured extensively with Elvin Bishop and became the guitarist for Rick Estrin & The Nightcats after Little Charlie Baty retired from touring. In addition to his performing career, Andersen is known for his work as a record producer at Greaseland Studios, producing albums such as One Wrong Turn (2012) and Groovin' in Greaseland (2017) for Rick Estrin & The Nightcats. His own albums include Rock Awhile (2003) and Guitarmageddon (2005).
